Happy Spring myLot

Me too, I am enjoying the ups and downs of the season of spring. I saw my very first robin today.

@wolfgirl569 I always feel happy when I see them back again.

There are some departments in the other tower that have to work in office every day. The tower that I work in, has about 30 floors, and there are departments that have a day a month to work from the office. That satisfies their requirements for the insurance. It is easy enough to get out of going in, but I don't like asking all of the time. It wasn't too terrible going in, the parking rate is the worst.

@Juliaacv Just go, it isn't going to hurt and shows you are a team player.

@snowy22315 I did go, and it was fine. I just do not do well driving in the early morning as I am not fully awake. It was actually nice to get dressed up for work for a change, and even nicer that I had to resort to wearing a smaller size of dress pants than usual because I am down about 16 pounds now.

It is an annoyance, but I tolerate with a smile, that is what they want. I do enjoy seeing my co-workers in person, because people in other departments come over and visit with me. The rest of this week we are not going to feel like it is spring, although I did see my very first robin this afternoon.

It is easy enough to get out of going, but I don't like asking every month, that must get tiresome for my manager. The worst of it all is the expense of the parking, and that is only one time a month, so completely tolerable. I spoke with a former Canadian customer today, who moved to your country a couple of years ago. He said it was a lovely country, and so much like ours, except for the weather, that he felt like he did not even leave Canada. I told him that I know a lady who lives there and she seems very easy going-like most of us Canadians are.

Here our temperatures fluctuate during spring also. Yesterday was 24C and today got as low as 0C, which is a big difference, but it is a step in the right direction.

@Juliaacv That’s awesome. She must have been so glad she got the chance to share her excitement. Especially to someone who would be so happy for her.

There are several departments that have to take their turn, our turn is always the third Thursday of the month. And although most staff get out of it, I don't ask my manager, as the decision for us to go in in person, is out of her hands and I don't want her to feel 'hassled' by me asking to work from home. Plus she is fun to work in person with, and today was no different. She recently got engaged, and showed me her ring during a zoom meeting, but only a few people know about it, but she showed me her ring in person today and she looked amazingly happy, I am glad that she is in such a good place in her life and I enjoy celebrating that with her, on the dl of course, as that is what she wishes for now.

@celticeagle Thanks, some people think that spring are the dry and warm days, which to me is early summer weather. I guess it is all a matter of perspective.

It is exciting to spring and the changes it brings to Mother Earth. The trees will begin to bud and then the leaves will explode out of those buds, the robins are returning, and the babies-ducklings and bunnies and whatnot are easy to see. Summer-no, not my favorite season either, too hot and humid, but we have a/c and I hibernate.

My family does not visit the graves regularly because we believe that the loved one is with us, and not at the cemetery.

Thank you. I took this picture early one morning at our place in the rural village before we moved. We have been enjoying spring weather for part of the month also, but here spring includes the ups and the downs, which I enjoy. Now that we have longer days of sunlight we will have more warmth than not.

I did not realize that your hurricane season began in June already. Here our summers get quite hot and humid, that is hibernation time for me.

Thanks, today did not really feel like a spring day compared to yesterday. It was cold this afternoon, and we had a wet snow/rain mix, but I did see my first robin of the season.

@lilacskies Yes, it will come in its time. I find spring to be quite a lovely season, the ups and the downs, the rain and the snow, until it is only rain, and the days that lengthen and provide us with more daylight which will provide us with more warmth. Today will be a sunny day here.

@Juliaacv You are welcome. I hope it gets better for you tomorrow and it feels like spring again. At least you saw your first robin of the season despite the poor weather.

Thank you, that is an early morning spring sunrise. I took that before we moved from our home out in the rural village, the home that we spent the greatest part of our married lives in.

Thanks, I enjoy each day as it comes. I do dread the summer's heat and humidity.
