Had My Artwork from Nepal Framed

United States
March 20, 2025 2:36pm CST
In December when I visited Kathmandu, Nepal, I bought these two pieces of original hand-painted art. I just got them framed this week. The framing cost as much as the artwork did. But I find them very colorful and representative of my memories of Nepal. Do you collect any art?

That looks very nice. I never collected any art but my father was an art collector. All those painting have been sold to friends and others before I left Latvia.

I don't collect art but I know framing is expensive.

Very nice. Yes, framing is very expensive. I just have needlework pieces that I've done and framed.

That sounds like a lovely collection! Framing can definitely add up, but it really makes a difference in preserving and displaying the artwork properly. I love picking up paintings when I travel too—it’s such a special way to bring home a memory. Are your paintings mostly of landscapes, city scenes, or something else? Would love to hear more about them! :)

Framing can be expensive. Glad you have something to remind you of Nepal.

They did a great job. I have had a few items matted and framed, and it is money well spent in my opinion, it does the art justice and makes it worthy to hang.
