First rainfall of 2025

Torrents of rainfall are pelting on the window sills. The overcast firmament with a few fleeting gossamer clouds and the perpetual rain exude the earthy scent of damp soil and wet foliage. My propensity to slip into melancholy in the rainy weather hasn't taken hold of me yet
...maybe because it's the first rainfall of this year.
A welcome change from the scorching heat and humidity we were having a few days back.
Anyways, what are you all doing today? How is the weather at your place?

@allknowing Here in West Bengal, we had a lot of humidity last week. From then on, some parts like Murshidabad and Malda started getting rain, and we had windy days. It was only yesterday that we got our first rainfall here in Kolkata.

Ah, then things are going as per your wish! I, too, don't like incessant rainfall. Here, it's sporadic. Like it rained for around 30 minutes in the morning and then again for another 20–30 minutes in the afternoon.

Expecting sporadic rain and wind for the next two days. A cool breeze has kept the temperature around 26-28°Cduring the day and 22C at night for the past 3-4 days, which is always preferable to the scorching heat we were getting before..

Oh I know Philippines has only 2 seasons- rainy and summer. So during our winter season here, you guys were having rain.

It was raining here yesterday and is cloudy and cold here tonight. (It's 5 am in my part of the US right now.) My phone shows it may rain today, too

Yeah this reminds me of the word petrichor. A friend taught me that word in 7th grade! The word is as beautiful as the meaning.

@Dreamerby I just follow the scores occasionally.
I am also against foreign players in teams and the players also switch between teams.
The real passion will be when we play as a state with others.
I watched Shreya Ghoshal sing effortlessly.
She is a beautiful and humble human being too.

W e are getting sporadic rain here. A pleasant cool breeze is keeping temps around 26-28°C (day), 22°C (night)for the last 3-4 days; I will prefer this to 38C-40C heatwave anytime!

We here had the first rainfall of spring yesterday. Now the sky was clear and suddenly clouds appeared from nowhere and started raining. People had not expected this. They had no umbrella or raincoat. I saw them running helter skelter to get a coved somewhere.
