I have mentioned I have a second line in here other than my cellphone. I have to admit it is mostly used to call my cell when it is misplaced.. I have only given this number to a few people, businesses, so usually when it rings it is a scam call, but I did give it to the apt. Complex I mystery shopped the other day..and lo and behold it was them. Not sure when my last real phone call in it was..unless you count the pharmacy telling me meds are ready. Do you have a little used phone line?

I had a landline 12 years ago, I lived in the country in southern Illinois, and cell reception was really terrible there. If I wanted to use my cell phone there I might be able to if I went outside to the very back of the property, no thanks!! When I moved here I ditched the landline. I have great reception and don’t want two phone bills. It’s nice that you don’t have to pay for yours.

One of my neighbors insists on having a landline, as well as his cell phone. The cheapest he can get it is $70 per month. And he told me he hasn't used it in months and no one calls the number, either...but he still wants it.

Friend has a home phone and he uses it sometimes, and if someone calls on that line, it gets forwarded to his cellphone.

@snowy22315 My was that my company purposely cut the phone off and ask us to go for our personal phone. I was suppose to receive some phone bills off but I cannot remember how to do it.

I still have a landline and 99% of the time when it rings it's a scam. Once in awhile my aunt will call on the house phone instead of my cell.

Yes, I get calls like that sometimes, or scam calls. Sometimes this second phone rings and rings for no reason, and when I look at it it says whirle..It's like it is freaking out or something

We had our landlines for a while until we decided to quit paying for something we didn't need.

Friend pays for this one. At this point I am quite used to having it..unless someone else with a cell moves in here I will probably keep it. It's worth it's weight in gold when it helps me find my main phone
