Is Kitty mad at me? Are there any cat people out there?

As you know, I am NOT a cat person. I find cats to be selfish, self-absorbed, and untrainable. Plus they have sharp claws. Kitty is relaxing at my feet right now. Usually, when I meow at her, she flicks her tail as acknowledgement. I see her ears moving back when I meow at her. So she is not in deep sleep and oblivious to my attempts to say "hello." What might I have done wrong?

You haven't don anything wrong. Cats have their moods and she just wants to be near you. Probably doesn't want to be messed with much, it likely won't last long.

She wants a nap. She wants to be with you, and have a nap, but does not want you to disturb her. If she was mad at you she would not be there.

Her ears move to identify where the sound is coming from. Doesn't sound to me like she is mad at all. There are many channels on YouTube that discuss feline behavior. You might check them out if you care to learn more about kitty behavior.

I´m not a cat person at all. I have never had a cat. I think they are wild. In fact I thought I wasn´t a dog person either until I met Misty. She was one of my best friends. I would never say she was my pet.
