As most of you know, my cell phone went got lost somewhere in my house yesterday. I have looked high and low, in every room, in all the usual places where I lay my phone down with no luck in finding it. I have even taken to looking in the microwave, the refrigerator, and freeze. Who knows? So I am now asking for suggestions...where can my cell phone be? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

The car? I know you said house, but maybe you totally blitzed on going to your car. Not likely, but I’m trying to think outside the box. Laundry cabinet, underneath your sink, under your bed, did it fall behind a dresser? Some far out suggestions, but I’m at a loss.

Definitely not the car. And not any of others either. I'm going to see if it is wedged behind or into/under the headboard of the bed and look under the bed again for the 5th time, more if you count how many hubby has looked too. I would think that it is somewhere in the bedroom!

@kareng That must be maddening. It makes me think I should put a neon orange case on my phone in case it happens to me. It’s only a matter of time until it does.

I suppose you have had hubby call it. Have you searched your car thoroughly? If mine is not in the house, it is invariably in the car

@kareng Have you tried retracing your steps exhaustively, from the time you know you had the phone? I feel your pain..

Have you checked your car, or husband's car? Try to recall what you were doing when you last used it. Check the same places, again, with a flashlight.

Last place I had it was on my bed and we have stripped the bed, looked behind the bed, under the bed and all around it to no avail. So going to try again in there this evening.

@kareng Use a flashlight or bright light. Most phones are made of glass and it should catch.

Could it be under your bed or under your living room sofa?

At this point, I'd get someone else to call my phone so it would ring and I could find it. My cell phone is always either in my pocket, on my bed or in my car. If I can't find it, which has never happened, I'd ask Pretty to call my number and help me listen for it to ring. Good luck finding it.

@DaddyEvil I've looked under the bed numerous times and shook the pillow cases with open side down. Nope, didn't change bedding yesterday either.

@kareng Under the bed? Did you change bedding yesterday and dump your cell in the laundry with the dirty sheets?

Perhaps outside in your car or a jacket pocket. In Latvia when one of us lost a phone the other called the phone and we followed the ringing,,

@RasmaSandra Not indoor pets. The dog only comes in during bad storms and low temps when freezing, so that one is out too

You can use someone else's phone and give a call to your phone. The ring tone will help trace the phone.

Do you have a telephone at home? Sometimes, we try to find mom's phone by using the telephone at home and then call to mom's phone. It always works at home. I hope that your phone didn't taken away by someone.

@kareng My God! Keep trying to find your cellphone anywhere in your house , in your car or anywhere. I hope that nobody has been there when your cellphone was gone. Hope you will find your cellphone soon. It happened to me before that it took me almost a day to find my cellphone. That cellphone was broken last year.

One of my neighbors somehow managed to toss hers in her kitchen trash can several months back. She found it in some papers she had thrown out. Take one room at a time and really get serious about looking in weird places! It’s amazing the places we can set down those pesky phones!

@kareng You said it was in the bedroom. I know how that goes, since my son has been ill he often loses his phone in the bed. Twice we have completely stripped the bed down and looked and looked with no success. Both times I found the phone flat against one of the bed posts and since they are black and his phone is black, we just didn’t see it. So frustrating! I found it both times with my high powered flashlight!

it could be under a pillow or rolled up in a carpet, you can ask someone to call your cell phone.

In a pocket of a coat--pants? In a storage space in your car? I got a set of "beepers" for my phone, keys, purse...it's really handy when I misplace something--which I do pretty often!

Strike on all of those. I will have to look into a beeper or start wearing it in a cell phone holder.

The car, or even under the seat, if you had it in your pocket and it slipped out. Did you check the chicken coop and the dog run?

I didn't take it outside yesterday at all. I distinctly remember that because I took a walk around the house and didn't have it when I wanted to take a photo.
