Good day to you all, hope you enjoyed the weekend. Mine was not too bad, mostly resting, still trying to get rid of this cold, it is just hanging on being annoying. Last week or sometime ago I mentioned that I read about egg prices going down and I said it didn’t go down here, well finally it did go down here from 8.82 to 7.39. I shouldn’t complain because it is going in the right direction but still too expensive in my opinion. I also seen Dr Pepper, soup, and frozen pizza went down a few cents. Of course, meat went up some more. Just trading off when I am going to spend my money on this week. Hope you all have a good week.

Same here. Eggs really haven't dropped much in price that I can tell so far. I'll be out and about on Tuesday, so I guess I will check then. I am down to one egg out of the last two dozen I bought for $3.79 each. We'll see.

@porwest agree, they would be nice to have but they are not necessary.

@Bensen32 Fingers crossed. I want to get some, but I won't pay just any price for them. If they don't meet my price threshold, they will stay in the cooler.

@Bensen32 Eggs are cheaper than that in my country. I´m glad for that because I´m an egg lover.

I hope you can kick the cold soon... It does seem like it's hanging around longer than it should for you. A dozen eggs on Walmart.com show they're around $5 for a dozen. So still pricy but we might buy some anyway. I've been missing scrambled eggs with "stuff" in them for quite a while. Have a good week.

@akalinus I love omelets but never can get them to flip neatly. They always look like I meant to scramble them when I'm done, anyway, so I just plan on scrambling them and add onions, garlic, green peppers and some kind of meat to them.

I like omelets too. We went to a restaurant and had to pay a premium for eggs. It was 50 cents an egg. The prices are coming down but I bet the extra fine for eating an egg will not be taken off.

It's gotten so hard to find bargains when it comes to groceries. Hopefully the price of eggs will go back to what it used to be (at some point).

I can get all the eggs l want, but l am not much of an egg eater. I might go as long as 2 months without having any.

Yeah, I usually have them on the weekend but since they got so expensive that doesn't happen now.

If you have Aldi there, egg prices are 4.97 there, at least they are here

I saw eggs this weekend that cost $6 and some change for a dozen. I guess that is an improvement.

I priced eggs on Saturday for my neighbor. Still ridiculously high, $7.99 for the smaller eggs for a dozen. For 18 eggs of extra large size, $12.
