Pork barbeque and buttered garlic mushrooms, those were my lunch. The mushroom is so tasty. I just made them and it's a first time too for me to make them. No rice for me. Though it would be much better to have rice with those food.
What did you eat for lunch/dinner?

Barbecue pork and garlic mushrooms sound delicious! I would eat those.
I made Shepherd's Pie for our lunch today. There is enough left over for several more meals of it. I'll probably freeze most of it for meals later that Pretty can heat up for me when I can't see to cook.
Shepherd's Pie. Photo is mine.

We Filipinos have a deep love for rice—it’s a staple in almost every meal, whether it’s lunch or dinner. It’s such an essential part of our dining culture that a meal often feels incomplete without it.
However, as much as we enjoy rice, we also know that consuming it in excess can have health implications. That’s why I can’t help but wonder whenever I see someone intentionally skipping rice—especially if it’s not for health reasons! If it’s a personal choice for a healthier lifestyle, then that’s totally understandable. But if there’s another reason behind it, I’d always be curious to know why rice isn’t part of the meal. After all, for many of us, it’s almost second nature to have it on our plates!

@rakski Wow, that’s such a great habit to maintain your health and strength! I believe fasting, when done properly, can really boost overall well-being. Wishing you success in reaching your health goals—may you enjoy a balanced and fulfilling life while savoring food in moderation!

I miss barbecue. I cannot have them because my doctor advise me to stay away from grilled and raw foods. I had mongo and karekare for lunch.

I had some leftovers. Turkey and vegetables in a sauce. A biscuit with butter. Also an apple. I like the sound of buttered garlic mushrooms.
