I have a visitor this morning, that I wish was not coming. Well, if it works out for me, fine that he comes. It is a property assessor. I have asked for a reassessment because of course every year the valuation and the taxes go up on the property. This in turn affects my payment. The valuation is probably not way off, but if they could knock it down by 20k I would be happy. They said sometimes it goes up! That better not happen. I will freak. I doubt that it will. The way they do these valuations is weird some told me her tax bill was much more than her neighbors although the houses were virtually identical. What's up with you today? I hope you are having a great day!

I hope your taxes don't go up. Ours went up several hundred dollars. Nothing much going on today. Have a good one.

I am sure you probably can. You will probably still have to report your income, but hopefully you will qualify for a nice discount.

@snowy22315 I meant house taxes. You are right- paying 2 or 3 hundred compared to 3 thousand would be sweet.

I won't be discussing much with him other than pointing out a few flaws.

Our property tax has gone up increasingly higher and they made just a little adjustment. It's double what it was last year. I need to find out at what age that we will get a tax credit, and not have to pay as much.

Here in Mississippi we are 100 % exempted. We get the exemption because I am legally blind. I hope your taxes can come down some.

Hope you get a good report from the assessor. We had a barn assessed at a much higher amount than it was woth which mean higher taxes on it. We appealed and got it reduced.

Yeah, I only ended up asking for 5 k less though. I have to be reasonable.
