I am still in shock.

Good Sunny morning.
George is full of surprises. For the past couple of days, he's been more active than usual. Moving around the house, the grage The front, and everywhere in-between. Yesterday, he spent a majority of the day outside, watching far less t.v. than we have in a long while.
Today, he got up around 10 Am, and got dressed. He actually, sucessfully disarmed our home, got his shoes on and went outside. I checked in on him through the door bell camera, and he had pulled out a chair into the drivway so he could sit in the morning sun. Now, as I am typing this from our living room, I could hear him pull the chair back.
When he came home from the hospital a year and a half ago, he had been having a lot more trouble. His balance isn't where it needs to be, far from perfect, (he's decided to use a walker by choice) but he couldn't disarm our home. But, today, about a year and a half later, he did.
I remained hyper aware, and I think I always will. It won't be something I'll easily lose. But, George is recovering from this stroke and getting a lot better.
I am shocked and so proud of him. I really am.

@porwest Well, he just closed the gerage door, so he's been busy.

Yeah, it is. I have to clean his stoma today, but at least I got one flush and one shake in , in terms of nutrion and the tube, itself. He just need to figure out how to make the van legal.

@1creekgirl Yes, so he can drive the van. He wants to start driving again. He's had enouh of ride shares and needs to find out for himself if he can drive. He was able to disarm the house, and he's getting a lot back.

@kaylachan I am glad to hear that. He has inspired me to do some leg lifts and push ups now. I gotta get this old body fired up.

It was a bit stressful, but decent all the same. Today promises to be busy between laundry and getting the bins down, but I'll get it done.

He's acting a lot more like himself. And a lot of what he needs, pills and such, can be brought to him outside.

@Rimps85 Stroke recovery is a long process. It has a lot to do with desire and will.
