Seems that after 30 years, musician Selena's killer, Yolanda Saldivar, is up for parole on her life sentence. At 64 is she a danger to society? Probably not. But does she deserve to be paroled? I don't think so. Murder is murder. She took Selena's life after being confronted by the singer for embezzling money from her. So, you steal from her and then shoot her for finding out? No. I'm sorry. This woman does not deserve to ever see the light of day ever again. She's a despicable woman who probably should have received death, not life anyway. Let her rot.

I hope God will save her soul, but I believe she deserves to die in prison. She should forfeit her life for the one she took.

Save her soul for what purpose? Give her a pitchfork and access to the down button on the elevator. lol

@porwest We all reap what we sow and that's what's happening to her right now. But I'm so thankful God forgives my sins. But forgiveness doesn't prevent the price we have to pay sometimes. We often have to suffer the consequences.

Taking a life goes way past sin and to me should not be a forgivable offense. It may be my lack of religious belief that leads me there. At the same time, there is a thing Catholics call mortal sin which results in an eternal separation from God. It would seem to me murder would fall into that category.

It is never right to take another person's life. I agree she should remain in jail,

Even though I never knew about Selena prior to her passing, Yolanda does not deserve to let out of jail.

No, she sure doesn't. A terrible person who deserves to never again see the light of day.

I can see no reason or justification for releasing her. She took a life. 'Nuff said. It's cut and dry for me.

At her age with her record, she will be unable to find a job. She would not find a place to live unless she has family willing to take her in. Better for her to stay where she is instead of trying to navigate the world.

I've have always been one to question what is the purpose of a "life" sentence if it doesn't require you actually staying in prison for the rest of your life. Like, how can you even be eligible for parole on a "life" sentence? She should stay locked up. And anyone with a life sentence should stay locked up until they die.

If someone kills another person why do we sentence them to life instead of just giving them the electric chair? Keeping them in jail is such a waste of tax payer money. Not to mention that they don’t deserve to live for murdering another person.

I often wonder why the sentence is so often a range like 20yrs to life. If they showed no remorse for their act, will they show it in 20 yrs? I doubt it. And every time these murderers come up for parole, the poor family members have to attend the hearing to make sure they do not receive it and remain behind bars.
