Eulogy, not obituary

I posted about writing my own obit which I still think is a good idea, but I realized I was actually thinking about writing my eulogy.
They're two different things. So now I have two documents going. One is the names and dates thing for the obit and the other is more personal. It's things I want to say to our kids and family that I want them to remember.
I suppose a pastor could use the info from the eulogy to write his own remarks.
Anyway, I'm not morbid, but life ends at some point for all of us. But it's life here on earth, while life in eternity will be just beginning. The closer it gets, the sadder I am to leave my family, but the more I look forward to heaven.
1 Corinthians 2:9
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”
That's heaven!

When possible, it's a help to the one left behind that has to make so many decisions.

You are right since a world without war and suffering is paradise.

It's thoughtful that you're working on both your obit and eulogy. It’s a meaningful way to share your feelings with your family. Your perspective on life and eternity is inspiring, and it’s clear you cherish your loved ones. Wishing you peace as you reflect on these important thoughts.

That is heaven.
When I think of my Dad's final moments on this earth, I know that he saw someone, a family member or maybe it was Jesus, his face lit up and he seemed so very happy.
And he did not really die, he passed.
Myself and some close relatives have all had similar experiences with him coming to us in our dreams and talking to us. That is such a sweet way to part, and has helped me.

I agree, we never truly die, we just step from this life into the next.

It's so hard to think clearly at a time like that.

@1creekgirl But it is true. We are lucky that we have friends that's parents were in the business and the kids took over after both parents passed away. They have been a big help to us through the years with both sets of parents.

I'm know you're missing those little guys so much. I'm too old for a rock and roll party, though, lol.
