Increasing Prices but not Pay..

The cost for everything in the last 2-3 years has gone up soo much that even with my yearly raise and bonuses I can barely save any money. This winter alone with heating oil I spent well over $2,500 dollars to heat my home. Not too mention that every time I do food shopping I walk out with 3-4 bags for the average cost of 150-200 bucks every time. Somethings gotta give, inflation is crushing my pockets.

It is the very same here. Always not enough month left to pay for everything that we need to survive. It is very challenging.

Its tough out there for sure. I have been trying to get another car for the past few years,,a real struggle and even when I find one, it will probably mostly wipe out my savings.. I just paid a large insurance bill.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX Yrsh, you don't really need 3 vehicles. It would be slot less if I bought from a private owner which I might consider, but that's a hassle in itself! and I would have to sell my vehicle.

Damn that sucks, I'm considering selling one of my three vehicles to cut cost on extra insurance and maintenance costs

It's same at my end too. Prices have risen three times over in the last few months.

I get it. For years thanks to governor Chris Christie's BS we had to pay more and more for our medical and our modest pay raises didn't even make up for it. I was going backwards for years.

Yeah that's how I feel stuck, trying to save to buy a house but don't know if I want to deal with a 30 year mortgage

It's affecting us all, basically every country and all over the world. I have cut back over and over...I keep my thermostat as low as I can stand it in the winter, we wear sweaters/hoodies in the house. Pretty much everyone I know does this. We never eat out, we cook from scratch, we are focused on needs, not wants. It's just the way it is...no, it's not fun. Every time I shop for food, things that I bought a few weeks before cost more than they did then. It's crazy insane...I have gotten really inventive to save money!

@BACONSTRIPSXXX From what I have read and observed from others, going out to eat is a real money blower now. I am glad I like to cook! I am not one to try to figure out anyone's finances, but yes, it might be a great idea to cut back on expenses. It doesn't look like it's going to improve any time soon.

Everyone is being affected by the higher prices. Australians are feeling the pinch too.

I have kept some supermarket receipts from 2018 and it is amazing when l compare them with present day receipts, how high prices have gone since then.

Unfortunately, all we can really do is wait for wages to catch up. We don't want deflation. It's worse than inflation. I think we're on our way, though, to some relief, because there are certain factors that contributed to inflation, that if removed as factors, CAN bring prices down. Just have to be patient, and in the meantime, as resourceful as possible.
