Oh My Aching Back

Happy Thursday everyone! The sun is shining and it looks like a nice day ahead.
The week began with my back feeling touchy and by late Tuesday night it was just gone. My back goes out occasionally. Sometimes for good reason and other times it's a mystery.
This time it's a mystery. I'm hobbling around and finding it hard to do almost everything.
Right now I'm sitting in my recliner with the heating pad on my back and a cup of coffee to bring me joy.
I can't reach my laptop so I'm using my phone just to pop on and say hi.
I hope everyone is having a good day

Good morning. I hope your back eases up and you're able to get around better soon.
I've done something to my left hip this last weekend. I can't walk without sudden pain shooting through the hip and down my left leg. I've been taking Extra Strength Tylenol and am able to hobble around after taking it but it still hurts. I don't know if I need my regular doctor to take a look or if I should visit a chiropractor to fix something...

@Marilynda1225 I called my regular doctor and made an appointment... The soonest they could get me in is April 24th... If it keeps hurting too much, I'll see if the chiropractor can get me in sooner.
I haven't seen a chiropractor since I was working out all the time when I was in my mid-30s. I don't know if he's still in business.
Thank you.

@DaddyEvil at least you got a dr appointment and certainly hope he can help. Maybe just a muscle relaxer would be the solution.

I'm one to pick the chiropractor since I've always had a good experience when my back goes out. But, I don't live anywhere close to my old chiropractor and don't want to search for a new one yet. Hope you can get some relief for your hip pain and I can certainly relate to hobbling around

Your back goes out occasionally but it was gone Tuesday night?
Where does/did it go and why doesn't it take you along?
I know, I know, stop being facetious.
Hope you feel better soon.

Oh back pain, that is the worst.
I have read, and I wonder if you have researched this at all, but some types of light yoga can help with back issues.
I read it because my husband's back goes out on him and I was thinking of an alternative to medications and rubs.

@Marilynda1225 Try researching chair yoga.
And even if you can find a class nearby, I am sure that some of your daughters may like to join you.
If we were closer I know that I would.

@Juliaacv that sounds like a good idea and I'm sure it can find something on YouTube if there isn't one close by.
Wouldn't it be awesome if we lived closer and could do things together

I'll have to look into some light yoga. I've been dealing with this for over 40 yrs which resulted in a very bad fall down some brick steps.

The least little thing can trigger a bad back response. Even something as simple as sneezing can put my back out

I don't have anything exciting planned for the weekend so I'm just planning on relaxing. I have a dr appointment on Monday so if I don't feel better at least I can see what he says.

I hope that you feel better soon since your back problems could be weather related since when the weather turns cold in my area is when my back starts hurting a little bit.

I'm so sorry to hear about your back. I have one of those backs as well and I can sympathize completely with you.
