Got the trip to the attorney's office out of the way yesterday. Had to sign a whole bunch of papers because one of the insurance policies that my husband had must go through probate before I can receive the proceeds. So ridiculous. We went to Red Lobster after that.
Myramar/Thailand had a massive 7.7 earthquake. Please keep those people in your prayers.
Breakfast - Turkey/cheddar sandwich
Lunch - Red Lobster - Mozzarella sticks, hush puppies, bay scallops, clam strips, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, Cheddar Bay Biscuits - I had 2 rewards - one birthday and one from total points -- the mozzarella sticks and a Chocolate Wave dessert were free.
Dessert/Snack - Chocolate Wave - Ice cream and chocolate cake
Dinner - None
I have enough left over for at least another meal!!!!! I saved my Meals on Wheels meal for this weekend. Fish...not my favorite.

You'll get there, one mess at a time.
Uhm... I ate a sausage, egg and cheese croissant for breakfast and made rotini pasta with ground beef and broccoli for supper.
I don't remember if I ate lunch or not. *shrug*

We are also going through all rooms, basement and garage and downsizing and decluttering. It's a massive task as my husband was a pack rat and we have 54 years of accumulation.

@LindaOHio Pretty did that before we moved into this house... We lived in the last house for over 22 years. I did donate things I knew we'd never use again to a local thrift shop and gave all kinds of things to friends over the years but we still had several pickup loads that went to the thrift store and another huge pile that was left for the garbage men to deal with before we moved.

@DaddyEvil Yeah, I will be donating a lot of stuff. I have been letting my husband's 2nd cousin take what she wants out of the kitchen now instead of waiting until I'm gone.

It's OK because I already received the proceeds from my husband's other insurance policy. The one that is going through probate was one that his parents started for him years and years ago. There was no beneficiary stated; so the insurance company requested a form that can only be done through probate. You have a nice weekend too.

You really have to follow certain procedures for whatever claims you have. At least, you have started and soon you will get your claims.
Yesterday, I had oatmeal for breakfast, corn grits and pork stew with veggies for lunch and corn grits and fried pork for dinner.

Sorry to hear about that, sounds like a mess.
Interesting lunch - the mozzarella sticks and potatoes sound good, but I would have to pass on the rest.

@MommyOfEli2013 It's going to take the better part of this year to do it all. I just have to keep plugging away.

A 7.7 is massive. It will take months to clean up from all the damage.

Wow, that’s a meal and a half!
I went across the river to that Chuy’s for my chicken taco, and had pulled chicken and hash browns for dinner. Plus pears and yogurt and fiber!

Sorry you have to go that way. It usually isn't too bad waiting for probate

That's crazy that an insurance policy has to go through probate. Never heard of that before.
Friday I had potato skins at Texas Roadhouse

The insurance policy was one that his parents got for him decades ago. There is no beneficiary stated; so they are requesting a form that can only be obtained through probate. It's the insurance company that is to blame. That's OK because I already received the proceeds from his other policy.

It makes me smile that you are treating yourself to Red Lobster, I know how much you enjoy it.
I so love it when I have leftovers from eating out, it is like a treat from a treat.
We had pizza for supper last night, I wanted my hubs to have a meal that he likes without having to do the cooking, as I am still not 100% better.
