As we know there are several types of cheese that one can pick from. Why should anyone could have thought of the worm cheese - Casu Marzu amazes me It is a worm cheese literally infested with maggots. It is also known as rotten cheese It is made in Italy and there are some who enjoy eating it Reports have it that it is banned from commercial use due to health hazards Image credit:

@allknowing I don't know either... My brother telling me mom made rice from boiling maggots is the reason I throw up if I try to eat rice. Can you imagine me trying to eat rotten cheese?

I’ve never heard of this cheese, so don’t think it’s available in the UK? I love most things that come out of Italy, but I think I’ll pass on his one. I love cheese, but we Brits produce enough good varieties to satisfy my needs.

Even I think most of what Italy produces is classic. It is therefore surprising how they landed up with this lousy, rotten cheese

@Orson_Kart When it is called Stinking Biship I do not see any reason why you should upgrade it and say it has a 'pungent aroma'

@allknowing We have a cheese called “Stinking Bishop”, made famous by Wallace and Gromit. It’s known for it’s pungent aroma. I’ve not tried it, but don’t fancy it. Vintage cheddar is my limit.
