Flowers are beautiful...whether symmetrical or not...
Out here, they shred them, as if they can make something more beautiful than god.
Such shredded flowers are then laid on path of dignitaries (read politicos) or actors or godmen etc. Or poured over them.
They are also put to decorate beds, rangolis (a type of art on floor) etc.
And then feng shui...yeah..in the name of feng shui, they bring these flowers shred them, and put them in a pot of water in front of their homes.
I don't like such mutilation of flowers.
Do you?

@JudyEv We have lots of silly stuff. As I see it, we have shortage of bees. They are short of food and flowers. Shortage of bees and other insects (not including flies and mosquitoes) can bring down crops because these tiny insects pollinate. Then, aren't we making food expensive for ourselves?

I used to pull all the petals off roses, dry them and made potpourri out of them. They'd still smell like rose in their ceramic bowls. My mom used to set bowls of them around the house.

It is one thing to use it for scent, it is another to use it to honor some actor, godman, or politico...or project as raining flower petals from skies in some movie out here...I think you and I know the difference I am talking about. And putting it out for Feng Shui...in that way...words fail me.

I loved the drink Dandelion and Burdock as a kid. I’m sure they must have to crush the flowers to make a juice out of them, but not purely for decoration. We do however, have many talented flower arrangers who can create wonderful decorations with flowers and leaves. When I just leave it to God, my garden just looks a mess. Have a word will you?

Drinks are fine. Pouring it on politician to burst ego is not ok. Then actors or godmen...seriously...and decorating the way I have uploaded...impermanence of the art coupled with destruction of something beautiful that could have lasted longer and fed some bees, is what comes to mind.

It's a shame to waste so many flowers. I hope you have a good day.
