With all the thinking I've been doing, trying to figure out the beneficiaries for my insurance policy, bank account and investment account, I forgot about the house!!! It would be perfect for my husband's 3rd cousin -- she and her husband have 2 boys and 2 large pitbulls. This is a 4-bedroom house. She lives in a tiny little house right now. I have about 3/4 of an acre fenced in; and all you have to do to let the dogs out is open the back slider. My husband's 2nd cousin has done more for me lately; but it would be a lot for her to maintain, and she only has a small Pomeranian. Things to think about!!! Still dealing with my emotions. Being an adult is such a bummer! Breakfast - PB&J sandwich Lunch - Meals on Wheels (from Friday) - Fish sandwich, seasoned potato wedges, peas and grapes Dessert/Snack - Chocolate chip muffin Dinner - Turkey/cheddar sandwich and Cheetos What did you eat yesterday? We are leaving everything to the kids with it ordered to be sold and the money split.

@LindaOHio I know you don't. Go by who seems to care about you.

@wolfgirl569 The problem with my husband's 2nd cousin is that she is very critical of everything that I do; and she's very blunt. She says she loves me; but she has a weird way of showing it!!!!

Lucky for me, to figure all the beneficiaries are easy but to remember what are the things that I had missed out are difficult. Yesterday Breakfast - I had congee and Dim Sum Yesterday Lunch - None. My breakfast was too filling Yesterday dinner - Vegetable, Braised Chicken Wings, and Steam Red Grouper in Hong Kong Style, plus rice and soup

You have so very much to contemplate. I nibbled during the day yesterday, but my husband ordered us Swiss Chalet chicken for supper last night. It was a nice change.

You have come to the crossroads. So much to think about with grief still hounding you. I wish I could do something. Anything. My hubby talks bravely about us cutting back on our companion animals. Age is not for sissies.

Just being my friend is plenty for me! Yes, we decided no more dogs. I miss them, especially now that I'm alone; but it doesn't make sense to get more at this stage of life.

If you need a beneficiary, I spell my last name B-A-U-E-R, there's a junior on the end, and my real first name is James. For dinner I made up another batch of braised pork steaks with that Jack Link's bloody Mary mix and had loaded baked potatoes and sliced carrots on the side. Good eats!

@LindaOHio I am sure eventually my uncle will get to it. He's had someone appraise it.... At this point my mom, and my family go do our laundry over there still... and look after the house. Was hoping we'd be able to move in, but my grandmother never actually changed the will to saying the house would go to my mom, she was going to rent it to us since she didn't want to move from her home. But the original will said she just got first choice to buy it for whatever it was appraised at. So eventually it'll be sold to some stranger :( Sorry, didn't mean for the long reply

Yesterday was the chicken and cheese-stuffed baked potato for lunch, chicken & rice & potatoes for dinner, with fiber, apples, and yogurt. One day I’ll have to sit down with my niece and ask her if she wants the house or the money. I’m still using both at the present, but she’s the one who’ll be stuck with either living in my house or selling it.

Adulting is so over-rated. We have been dealing with getting my husband's Medicare all set up and the secondary insurance which we both have through the State of Louisiana from our employment there. It's all a bunch of hokey. No two people tell you the same thing and it is back and forth. And fun, fun, fun. I get to do it all over again for myself.
