Saturday Night Dinner

I managed to do do a little fish fry tonight. The weather has been dreary all day with very little rain here. That's okay, we got enough last weekend, but still it throws off planning to do something when you are under a weather alert.
I managed to get one load of clothes washed; they are still in the dryer and my hubby folded the load I had left in the dryer previously. It was just a load of towels.
I fried up some catfish and french fries for dinner tonight. I wasn't in much of a mood to do anything big, but decided I would do a quick frying job. The weather is still on the cool side and windy today with the rain, so it was a good day to fry! It was satisfying and we both enjoyed it.
For lunch we had a quickie, Salisbury steaks with mashed potatoes and gravy and sweet corn. That was also quick and easy and no left overs!
What did you eat Saturday? Anything good or special?

Just the usual Saturday trip to Mark’s Feed Store for a chicken and cheese-stuffed baked potato.

@kareng — it’s really not a feed store, it’s a restaurant…just decorated with feed store stuff.

@kaylachan I'm trying to figure out what I am going to fix later on tonight. The man just made himself a ham sandwich, so I won't be cooking for awhile.

I didn't have anything exciting to eat yesterday like you did.
I did tell my hubby today that since he's looked after me so well this past week, and I haven't been well enough to cook that I will make anything that he wants for Sunday supper. He choose lasagna, I have ground beef out thawing now that I will use.

@kareng We met, and it was love at first sight, in our late teens. It was March 29th, yesterday was that anniversary. I always go to a big fuss to have something extra special for that supper meal, but wasn't up to it yesterday, so today will suffice. I even went out and picked up a nice too tall Tuxedo cake for dessert.

We've had a guest for a few days so our lunches have been a bit bigger than usual. Mostly we have very small lunches.

Pizza sounds good. My husband actually asked me last week if I wanted to go to our favorite pizza place. It's about 2 hours away! I told him save it for another day. It's our stop on the way or way home from my daughter's house usually! But we have none of them around us here in the country.
