Go me! It's my last day of taking four antibiotics. Sunshine and dandelions and daffodils outside my windows. Purple grape hyacinths and red tulips threatening to bud out.
I've been chatting via FB with the lady who I pay to help me garden. I call her my "latter day hippie" even though she is in her mid 40s. She put her back out schlepping free wet compost so she will help me a few days later than I'd hoped. So we've been talking dirt! Dirt is on sale and compost and mulch. We're also discussing the price of wheelbarrows.
I love such chats. Meantime I am yawning and scheming how I am going to find the zip to sweep floors today. I ordered a set of three silly turtle pavers for the garden. I am hoping they arrive today. I would rather step on iron turtles than the muddy path that Moxe has dug into the front grass. On I go-like yesterday, thinking about a mini walk outside even as I yawn inside.

Another 6 weeks before I have to worry about playing in the soil.
Last year I did up containers of tomatoes, our son has a problem with bunnies, and I wanted the girls to see something grow that they could eat.
But we won't be frost-free at nights until May.

@juliaacv I will be concentrating on garden beds this year. Garden boxes and small flower pots. You're right. Its not plant tomato season. Chard and other greens like cooler weather so they can be seeded in. Our mint and oregano are really starting to green up.

It sounds like you are itching to get outside and your hands in the dirt!!
Speaking of wheelbarrows; can you believe the price of them now? Holy cow! I borrowed my brother's when he was living in a condo and didn't need it anymore. It's been very useful!! I think he has forgotten about it now, but that's okay. He doesn't need it back--he can't do yardwork at all with his back.

@snowy22315 That's great. Whatever I feel like, I need to deal with some stuff- trying to chase down a Doc for a follow up on the hospital visit.

Our flower garden is a tumble of weeds. I asked the guy that cuts our grass if he could change from Roundup to something that is animal and people friendly. He said he would and would come and spray the weeds before they get worse. How are you feeling???

@LindaOhio I agree on nixing Roundup. Thanks for asking how am I? Feeling good that I am not popping antibiotics now. Wishing I felt rested but pretty much okay.
