We went on an imprtu drive.

Today, george told our next door neighbor, we were taking a second trip out in the van. He has an appoitment with wound care, tomorrow, but I don't know if we're going, or if he's going to try to cancel last minute. He mentioned canceling it friday, but by the time the subject came up, the va had closed. Today we wnet to homewood to visit his sister. And gave her a surprise. We got caught in the rain, too. But, I can get my chair in and out without tearing up my back. I just lay it down because that's easier for me. George and I were happy too. He seems happy.

My wife and I like to do this a lot, especially when the weather is nice. Just hop in the truck and go, aimlessly, without a plan. It can be a lot of fun, and a good excuse just to get out of the house.

It's got to feel good to get out and about. It might even improve his health. Being cooped up is never fun for anyone.

@kaylachan There are MANY times that's all the wife and I do. Hop in the truck and go without a care where we go or even if we stop anywhere in particular. Just get out and explore and tool around. Just to get out of the house. I don't even care what the gas costs, and you know how I am about wasting money. But time and getting out is value-added if you ask me.
