Monday Morning Storm Produced Fireworks

This morning's storm brought some heavy rain and lots and lots of lightening! The lightning was so bad that it looked like a fireworks display out the window on New Year's Eve in New York City! For those that love storms, they would have loved this display across the night sky. Me? I could do without it! The storm has passed now and the rain has cleared out also. We had no damage here and I have not heard any in our county. There was a good bit of flooding happening in Louisiana though. How is the weather in your area? We sure have had a lot of elevated weather alerts here and coming back to back much too fast! Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

@wolfgirl569 That's just wrong to implement those kind of feelings into them. Not all storms are bad or harmful.

@kareng I taught the boys to love them when they were little. Got the girls to enjoying them after I met hubby. Their mom had made them scared of storms.

Still sunny and warm here. I saw on the US News about tornadoes and generally iffy weather, but I think that was further south

It was really weird. Had pops of light flashing through the bedroom window all over the room.

I can always do without a big thunderstorm like that, I always get worried that a lightening bolt will strike a power transformer.

I enjoy a good thunderstorm but mostly it doesn't involve much damage or whatever. It would lose its entertainment value very quickly if the power went out etc.

I'm glad you are safe and sound. The radar showed a red line of storms and we had storm warnings; but when they passed through there was just heavy rain...no thunder.

It's breezy and partly cloudy. We may get a storm later, but I don't think it is going to be that dramatic here. Parts of the area might see more in terms of storm activity.

I hope not. Too much damage from all these storms recently!

The odd thing was not much thunder with the strikes. I don't like lighting either.

Right now we don't have any rain.
