Hope They Don't Pinch The Baby !

I was watching a family movie the other night and something crossed my mind. I wondered - just how do the directors get a baby to do what is written in the script.. For example if the baby is supposed to cry at a certain time - how do they do it. I hope there is no pinching going on. What do you think?

There must be some way to do it but I doubt they hurt the kids.

That would be awful if they actually did . However movie making has béen around long enough . They must have perfected ways of making the unreal look real

I think, hope, they just wait for the baby to cry and later use it whenever they need it.

That's a real possibility - some babies cry at the drop of a hat - while others appear mostly happy.

I think they record the baby's cry when they cry and other times - just a thought

@Kandae11 These days with the kind of software that is available everything is possible I do not think they will hurt the baby though.

I know it is necessary for children to be in movies - depending on the story being told, but personally l won't want my young child acting in a movie.

Good question, they probably just roll tape when the baby is acting up, as babies can be prone to do.

I hadn't really thought about it. I thought maybe they waited till the baby did what they wanted then hurriedly went on with the scene but of course that wouldn't work.

Unless those babies are ultra smart babies and know how to act..... - no, not possible.

The parent should know what makes the baby cry like them leaving without the baby. It should be a relief when the baby cooperates!

The thought came to me while l was watching the móvie. There were some scenes where the baby seemed to know exactly when to cry....

Of course, babies will be babies so l would prefer to think if the baby starts crying they will work that into the scene somehow..
