Her father has been lying in bed for years - yes almost 24 years. He has lost all his senses but is able to swallow food when he is fed.
She takes care of him well with maids around and this as you can see has been going on for years
I wonder if she would be relieved if he breathed his last - but when?
I feel for my friend.

She will never resort to artificial means but it is not easy to take care of someone who lies there for years.

@allknowing I agree. My husband has said more than once that he wants to be let go if he can't get up and about at all.
