I am thinking about a new way to organize my pantry

I usually try to put the bottles in one section..cans in the other cereals etc. However, I am thinking about grouping items by ethnicity. For instance, I would have an Italian section, Chinese section, grains of various types, a middle eastern section etc. I think it would be easier to find special foods when I need them rather than having to hunt for them. What do you think?

That doesn’t sound like a bad idea! I don’t have a lot of wild variations of food, given that I’m cooking for one. My biggest pantry arrangement is my collection of flavored teas. [em]lol[/em’

I have some boxes of tea on the back of the range, and a couple in different containers. One time toured a nursing home and they gave me a huge collection of teas for visiting. However, they were all mostly fruit teas which I am not very fond of. . I should have donated them. I still have some.

It sounds perfect. Then you would go immediatly to the ethnic section when you are going to prepare a special dish.

That sounds a really good idea to me. I wouldn't have thought of that.

Worth a try anyway! I am tired of searching for what I need Of course you know sooner or later, and probably sooner, knowing me .I will be shoving things in random places.

@snowy22315 I don't think it would work for us. It's mostly 'Australian' in our pantry.

That sounds like a good idea. My pantry needs a good organization too. I have mine organized in groups like you do now but I'm kind of liking the ethnicity idea.

Yeah, I think it will make it easy to go to to a certain section when you want to make something
