Today's shopping trip to the big Tesco. (2/4/2025)

I've been to the big Tesco again this afternoon. My Mum came too because she had some presents to get and she wanted to choose them herself. First I collected a trolley, then I went into the Tesco foyer and posted a letter I'd written to the Director General of the BBC requesting the reinstatement of Wynne Evans on his radio show. Then I got rid of the soft recycle as usual, then I waited for my Mum and then we went up on the lift. I went and got a Doctor Who magazine, a bounty bar for Syd (I couldn't get a single snickers), and a bottle of water while my Mum was choosing a basket of flowers for our old neighbour who moved to the next street. She is 100 years young this week! Then my Mum asked me if I'd got the TV magazines, so I said, thanks for reminding me, and I went and fetched them. After that I went and got some soothers for Syd and some pads for my Mum while my Mum was choosing chocolate bunnies for the house group leaders and their kids. Then I went back to my Mum and collected the bunnies, and we looked for an Easter card but couldn't find one. So then my Mum went to sit on a bench while I went and finished the rest of the shopping. I went to the fruit and veg section and got some edamane beans in their pods. I got some green grapes and some mini gem lettuce for my Mum. I got myself some blueberries, spring onions and a red pepper. I went to the next fruit and veg isle and got a lime and a grapefruit for me and some easy peelers and some bananas for my Mum. Next I went and got 2 bottles of milk for my Mum, my vegan yoghurts, a bottle of raspberry flavoured kombucha for me and some puddings for my Mum for Sunday. Then I went to the vegan and ready meals isle and got some tofu, a vegan pizza for my breakfasts for the next week, and 4 packets of meat free bites. I get a Toad in the Hole and 2 shepherd's pies for my Mum. After that I went to the ingredients isle and got myself some extra virgin olive oil. Next I went to the pasta, rice and ingredients isle to look for udon noodles but they were out of stock, so I got some soba noodles instead. They are supposed to be restaurant quality. Next I went to the canned isle and got a beef and tomato pot noodle and a chow mein pot noodle for Syd, and then I went to the cakes. I got two jam doughnuts for my Mum and Syd for their supper tonight. They are not the round ones with the hole. They are long thin ones, like a baguette, with cream in the middle. Then I got some Mr Kipling Bakewell tarts. Then I went to the crisps isle and got a multi-pack of walkers crisps, assorted. And I got a tube of original flavoured pringles. After that I went to the teas and coffees isle and got some camomile T-bags for me, a vegan galaxy hot chocolate, also for me, some coffee for Mum and Syd and some digestive biscuits for Syd. Next I went to the cereals isle and got some Tesco muesli for Syd. After that it was off to the frozen section, and I got myself some vegan magnum ice lollies. I also got myself some Quorn pieces and some frozen white onion. I also got some peas for my Mum (although I use them too!) Next I went to the second frozen isle and I got some chicken pies for my Mum and some frozen prawns for me. The only thing I needed to do then was get some kitchen roll and then I went to pay. It came to £148.13p! After I'd packed the groceries in the bags and payed, I went back and sat with my Mum on the bench. I went and swapped my book at the Tesco book swap, and sat back down for a few more minutes. Then we went down on the lift and I sat on the bench in the undercover car park. My Mum didn't want to sit on that bench because she thought it would be cold. When Syd came to pick us up, we put the groceries in the boot. But I put the basket of flowers in the back seat with me so they wouldn't get squashed. When we got home I unpacked the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner and watched some telly. Later, I put the recycle out ready for the recycle bin man coming tomorrow. My Mum has now gone out to the house group and taken the chocolate bunnies with her to give out.
