Smell of the earth.

There’s a great satisfaction to be had, don’t you think, to get to the end of a long, hot afternoon and sit for a while in the waning sunshine with a glass of perfect wine - red, full bodied and Lebanese.
I spent the afternoon working in the garden, fussing around begonias and dahlias. It can be heavy work although it doesn’t seem so at the time. But now it’s time to sit back and enjoy the pleasing smell of freshly watered plants and soil, and to know that it is good to do so.

I miss that smell. I haven't gardened in several years.

Sounds great, I haven't worked the soil in a few years but who knows, maybe this is the year.

I rarely drink anymore; but it sounds good after a day of hard work. Enjoy!
