Between shedding the leg infection and gulping antibiotics, my last two weeks have been filled with brain fog. This morning tah dah! the painter Dad and son showed up to discuss paint. I wonder would they say wow!! and huh?? if they thought my paint choice was totally wacky? Very polite and almost family like guys. They will be back this afternoon with paint samples and we'll have a little time of them daubing some on the shady part of the house and the sunny side- is this what I want?? Right now I am going with- love the name- Gusto Gold for trim and a medium purple plum for the main exterior body of the house. Down with boring white and gray. Uh uh. Just no. They also are going to measure the width between the gables so that I can choose a pediment- think ornament. The house did not have that but will now. I hope to have the house painted in May. Other big event for this day: gardening buddy showed up with bags of dirt and mulch. I am again light headed but she and the sunshine egged me into walking the property. It felt good to be out and about. She told me that the potatoes that I dumped into a bed are leafing out so I need to get out there and hill them up. Fun times ahead. Even if I am just sitting out by a bed, I need to be out there. She will return on Monday to help me spruce up the perennial geranium bed. The lupine starts are doing very well. It feels good to be active between bouts of ear ringing and naps.
