Today's shopping trip down town. (4/4/2025)

Yesterday me and my Mum went up the street to where our old neighbours now live. We took a basket of flowers that we got from the big Tesco on Wednesday to give to Joan who was 100 years young yesterday. But my Mum wanted to set out at 10:00am so she could get back for 10:30am to go to the hairdressers. But we ended up not setting off till 10:15am. We got to Joan's new house at 10:25am. Julie, Joan's daughter, was putting out balloons with 100 on them when we got there. Her two sons Oliver and Alistair, Joan's grandsons, were there too. One of them lives in Australia now. Julie called Joan out and we gave her her basket of flowers and a handmade birthday card that I made. They showed us Joan's telegram from the king. Their dog Willow came out and I enjoyed having some fuss with her. We didn't set off for home till about 10:35am and we didn't get home until 10:50am. Mum was supposed to be at the hairdressers for 10:45am, so she phoned them up to cancel it because she didn't want to rush! Today I went shopping down town again. I went to the toilet by the Cathedral first again, then I went to the photo expert shop and got some photos printed. After that I went to Holland and Barrett and got some raspberry flavoured liquorice. Then I went and got my repeat prescription from the pharmacy. Mum said I could get everything she wanted on her shopping list from Iceland so she didn't bother giving me her Tesco club card. So I went straight to Iceland then (the shop not the country!) I got some paella, and Mum wanted some Hunter's Chicken but I couldn't get any so I got a different kind of chicken with garlic and herbs. My wanted 2 lots of strawberries and some tuna and sweetcorn sandwich spread. I managed to get the strawberries but I couldn't get the tuna and sweetcorn sandwich spread. I treated myself to an areo and I got an Amazon gift card. Then I went and payed. I put £20 on the Amazon gift card. After I'd payed I set off for home via the toilet by the Cathedral. As I was coming down towards Stowe Pool afterwards I saw a little black and white pussycat that lives near the Cathedral. He was wagging his tail, so I don't think he was happy! When I got home, as I was approaching my house, I saw Syd leaving in the car to go and fetch my Mum back from the house group that meets at Church. I went in my house, put my Mum's change and shopping list on the coffee table, then unpacked the groceries and put them away. After that I sat down and had my lunch and watched some telly.
