A Cool Way to Save $$ on Groceries

Hi friends, I forgot to mention this earlier in the week. This has been working for me and I’ve been saving about 50% on groceries using this method. I came up with this myself, and for once didn’t snag it from some minimalist YouTube video. Now, if you have any kind of “disordered eating” history, you might wanna skip over this one. So *Trigger Warning* or whatever. What you do is buy the beverage of your choice, and plenty of it. Most important part, have plenty of it. An added bonus would be ice, but that’s your call. Mine is lime La Croix sparkling water with tons of ice. No matter what you eat, make sure you chew slowly, and then here comes the part that makes you save the $$. After each & every bite you take, take 4 large sips/gulps of whatever you are drinking. Then wait a couple minutes. Then do it again. By doing this ^^ alone, I have been saving maybe $150 a month on food. So about half. I’m eating half of what I usually eat, daily. The other half goes in the fridge for the next day. Or even for the middle of the night, whenever you want, as long as it’s at a later time. The point is, you’re eating less and making the food stretch. And before anyone starts thinking yeah but in an hour I’ll be hungry again since I only ate half, WRONG. You just keep chugging away at that beverage and hunger never even gets the chance to set in. Remember, your best friend here is the drink, that you will always have in hand, or nearby. I do realize this is a diet tactic that people use to eat less in general, but for me, it was all about saving that cash. Grocery prices are terrible, economy is terrible, this works for me. I hope it will work for you too. And yeah u might unintentionally lose some weight. Who cares, and bonus! At least you’re saving money. See you all soon, I have to take a “micro-test” on 3 chapters. A micro-test is a very special kind of evil because it’s only 4 questions and can come from anywherrrre in the reading. Have a great weekend and hope this grocery trick helps. x

That's a great idea but a bit difficult if you're living with a spouse/partner, especially when he does all the cooking. Thanks for sharing. I think it's a really good idea.

At some stages in my life I was like Buddha. At one stage, I ate very little and was very skinny. Then at some stage, I ate a lot and was fat. Now still fat but because of illness.
