I guess they went above and beyond…

I just loved this, I think it’s hilarious!
A worn patch of the road surface has been repaired, and the workers have diligently re-painted the appropriate parts of the wording that should be there.
In fact you could say they have even gone above and beyond what was needed, as they have extended the lettering a bit further over the edge of the new patch.
The flaw in this plan is that all the rest of the original wording is so worn away as to be practically invisible, so now we just have bright new parts of a few letters.
In case you can’t tell, the wording should say
BUS
STOP
I really can’t decide whether they should be praised for doing a bit extra, or condemned for not re-writing all the words.
I guess they just do what they’re told, and it’s someone else’s job to re-write the rest!

They did a good job with the patch but, yes, that does look funny now.

The letters look nothing like bus stop. Now somebody will have to fix, what they fixed.

I could make it out when I looked close. But as you are driving through there it wouldn't make any sense

It could be a case of not caring about a job well done.

That's odd and funny! They just covered the patch as they would have been instructed. They should have done the whole thing.
