Who remembers Pong?

For sure you have to be of a certain age to remember Pong. It was for all intents and purposes the first video game. It was a simple tennis game. My mom got it for us for Christmas one year when I was 14 or 15 . We hooked it up on a older TV downstairs and it only worked half the time. However, when it worked, it was fun. I remember my younger cousins had Atari game systems that had lots of features, but Pong was pretty limited. Nevertheless we had fun with it when it worked.

I vaguely remember the Pong game that was located inside of bowling alleys and penny arcades.

@snowy22315 I could be wrong that I saw them in penny arcades or bowling alleys since Pong was popular when I was living in Panama and not in Louisiana.

We got a pong game console one year for Christmas. My uncle took it out of the box when they arrived in the early afternoon, and hooked it up to the one and only television. He played it with some of his children all afternoon long. the next morning that television wouldn't come on. My brothers and I were pretty bummed as we did not even get a chance to play it until after my parents had the TV fixed and bought a new second set just for the game alone. By then the 'novelty' of the gift had pretty much been killed.

It was kind of sketchy and did not perform well compared to modern video games

I remember it. It was a fun game. And today's games are so much more advanced. It makes you wonder how it entertained us all for so long and well.

I have heard of it. Back in the day my parents gave me one of the first video game consoles called Intellevision. I had a blast with it. One of my favorite games was a game called Burger Time where you ran around trying to build hamburgers and trying to escape little creatures who could gobble you up.
