Last night was a rough one. I spent a lot of time crying over my husband and his indiscretions. I prayed to God, hoping that my husband will be in Heaven and that we can be together again. Being a widow sucks big time.
I hope you have a good day.
Breakfast - Protein bar
Lunch - Buffalo chicken/cheddar sandwich and Cheetos
Dessert/Snack - Blueberry muffin
Dinner - PB&J sandwich and Cheetos
What did you eat yesterday?

@LindaOHio I added powdered garlic, pepper and a touch of salt to it.

Hopefully, time will help heal your heart.
I fixed a roast, with carrots and mushrooms yesterday. Instead of cooking potatoes in with the roast, I made a potato salad to go with it all. For breakfast we had an omelet with green onions, sausage and cheese in it. No lunch.

@LindaOHio My hubby enjoyed it. I bought a smaller roast. He doesn't care for leftover roast, even if I turn it into stew for leftovers. We both had dinner and he went back several hours later and sliced some more beef and made a sandwich. There wasn't very much left at all!

@LindaOHio I am sure it is, I feel sad just thinking that my husband could go before I do.

@LadyDuck Even though I had a year without him, I still had hopes that he might come home.

It’s definitely hard being a widow. My dad’s been gone since May 2022 and it’s still hard on my mom, especially when she’s at a gathering and is the only one without a husband.

@LindaOHio A It’s great when you are best friends with your hubby and can’t talk to him about anything.

My husband was my best friend. I miss telling him things that I see and experience.

Indiscretions are something you really never talked about before he passed away, but surely they seem to be weighing heavy on you more now than ever before. I hope you can see past them. It won't solve anything to dwell on them, of course.
For dinner, I made baked barbecue pork steaks and we had baked potatoes and buttered peas on the side. Yummy stuff.

I have forgiven him; but it's hard to get closure when I can't confront him. We had 58 years together; and I can't discount all the good times we had. I think his affairs lasted a year and a half.

@LindaOHio Affairs are a hard thing to deal with. I know all too well about that. My dad was never a faithful man. My mom put up with it for years and would have probably put up with it forever, but he finally ended the marriage and divorced her.
In recent years, especially right before he went in for his triple bypass and after, while he has not come right out and said it, I think he finally realizes he made a huge mistake.

@porwest Unfortunately your father realized his mistake much too late. I hope my husband asked for forgiveness, otherwise I won't see him again where he is!!!!!!!

Yesterday for breakfast hubby made us ham and cheese omelettes. Noon was leftovers from Friday--me chicken salad, him frozen pizza. Last night he made these huge sandwiches on Italian bread. Cold cuts and provolone cheese. I will pray that your heart will begin to heal.

That all sounds good. Healing will take time. I had a dream the other night that I was screaming at him. He deserved it!!

@LindaOHio You are very blessed to have been married to both the love of your life as well as your best friend for the majority of your life. Many never get that.

@Juliaacv Yes, the good times outweighed the bad; and he ended up coming back to me after he strayed.

I’m so sorry you’re having a rough time right now.
Yesterday was another day at home, eating hash browns and chicken & cheese sandwiches for lunch and chicken veggie rice soup for dinner. Plus apples and yogurt and fiber.
