A grey fantail says good evening

Once again I’m using one of Vince’s photos. This is a grey fantail (Rhipidura albiscapa), a small bird with a long tail which it fans out constantly. They are only 11.5–21 cm (4.5-8 inches) long. They are similar to the willie wagtail but not quite as big.
When we’re sitting on the deck, they sometimes fly past our noses at a great rate of knots. They are extremely agile on the wing and very efficient at catching small insects in flight. Vince was able to get this shot when the bird perched near us. They don’t stay still long and you have to fast to capture them – in a photo of course.
We head home from our house-sit today so next time I talk to you all we'll be home again in the village.

@wolfgirl569 They certainly are. I'm hoping there will be more in the village once there is more vegetation.

A cute tiny bird. I enjoy seeing wildlife from other places.
I bet you are ready to go home again, it’s nice but there’s no place like home!

No matter where we go in life, or what we are doing, it does seem like there is always laundry!!

@JudyEv Sad that we live among fauna and hardly know what goes on in their mind.
