I came across this shot today and thought that I hadn't written about him in a long time.
He was one of 6 puppies about 6 to 8 weeks old that were trolling my street almost every morning back in 2003. I remember seeing 2 of his litter lying dead on the side of the main road out front so when I saw them one Saturday morning I tried to catch all of them, he was the only one that came close enough for me to grab. He was 12 when the vet I took him to told me he had a swollen liver and that he was suffering so the next day I took him to be put down, I hate when I have to do that but I can't bare the idea that he might suffer.
Well, before I start to cry I thought I would share this video of Roscoe & Tuffy playing and the funny Carson dialog in the background, I hope you get a good laugh out of it.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

You're right, it's always hard especially since most of us have come to believe their pets are family and not just kritters.

I'm sorry that happened. It's always hard when we have to let someone we love go.
Those handsome boys always make me smile.

@rebelann You're welcome.
In some ways I'm glad we can't have furbabies. It's hard enough letting fishies I've grown fond of go when they pass away. I'd really be hurting if we lost furbabies like that, too.

I agree with you. I tried so hard to catch the other 3 but I never saw them after that day.
How have you been? I look to see if you've posted anything but you must really be busy with everything these days. I hope everything is going well for you.

@rebelann - We moved from our home to an apartment Ann. My husband has senile dementia, I could not take care alone of a big house a garden and everything. I am still a bit busy with the paperwork, but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now.

That's a shame, I might not have anymore after these two but I'll be in my 80s when they pass and I doubt anyone 80 something is a good fit for most furbabies ..... I might change my mind if I get hold of a senior pet that just needs a little TLC to live out their lives.

@rebelann I'm 68 an old pet might not be a bad idea but it would have to be a cat that just wants to hang out and keep me company, I will see as time progresses,

That is so, so sad. We've had 6 dogs and it was hell putting down each one. My husband was the one that took them to the vet. It must have been so hard for him. That's a cute video.

I've had to do that 8 times in my adult life, most lived a good long life for the big dogs they were but it was never an easy thing to do and it still tears me up to remember those last moments they had with me, I'm just glad I didn't abandon them when they needed me the most.

I appriciate that, he did live 12 years and for a 60+ lb pup that's a fair life span. We always wish it could be much longer though, how wonderful it would be if they lived much longer.
