Do You Have Any Weekend Plans?

Today I am off work...so to speak anyway. I do need to log in and do a few things from home.
I am awaiting the arrival of our 15 year old granddaughter that has been in behavioral health residential facilities for over two years. She is having knee surgery today and no facility would keep her while she recovers.
So she will be staying with us while she recovers up to six weeks. The good thing is mom and dad live across the driveway from us and can help with her as well. The reason we decided for her to stay with us instead of them is that she has much younger siblings that we don't want her influencing as well as get use to being in the home, as she will be returning back to a facility once she recovers.
At any rate, I am being allowed to work from home as well as use my sick time that I have accumulated over the last 30 years as I will be retiring in August and they will not pay me out for what isn't used.
So this weekend I will be tending to my granddaughters needs as she begins her recovery. Do you have any weekend plans?

I hope things go well with your granddaughter. That sounds a bit of a stressful situation. Going out for a free breakfast on Saturday, not sure about Sunday yet.

Yes, I do believe there will be times during the next six weeks that will be stressful. Nothing better than breakfast, especially when it is free!

Oh, girl. I’ll be praying for you. I worked in a children’s mental health hospital years ago, but that is nothing compared to caring for someone in your family.
I’m planning on visiting a family friend who had some stents put in his heart. I’ve got some errands to run, but I wanted to make sure to do that.

@terri0824 Please note I just realized I included the rolls eyes emoji in my reply, and I intended to insert the hug emoji. I am SO sorry for that.

Sounds like you will have your hands full for a few weeks. Incidentally, we DO have plans for this weekend. We decided to take a short trip about 4 hours away to scout out a campground for a future camp in May and decided to make an excursion out of it. We got a hotel Saturday night and will explore around town over the weekend. Should be fun, and hopefully the campground is a winner.

Yes, indeed will have our hands full! Sounds like a fun weekend that you have planned ahead. So when you camp, do you rough it or do you have a camper/RV?

@porwest This would be my style as well, as I'm not too much into roughing it!
