The Washington County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) answered an emergency call on Monday morning March 31 about a loose serval cat that is a native of Africa that was loose on the streets of Warren Township Ohio.
WCSO Sheriff Mark Warden did report on social media the same day that his officers are investigating how did the serval manage to run loose on the streets of Warren Township since it is illegal in the state of Ohio for anyone to have a serval cat as a pet since they are dangerous animals.
Thank goodness no one was hurt in the time that the serval cat was seen on the streets of Warren Township.

That is interesting and glad the cat did not attack anybody, He's kind of cute but would take too much money to feed,

You are right since feeding cats is expensive.

I hate seeing animals like that being held as pets, especially when it's against the law.

Same with me since the saying is how we like it if the shoe is on the other foot.

I would keep quiet if I had a serval cat myself for fear of kidnapping the animal.

I hope so as well since I only would like to own a cat or dog.

I am sure that the serval cat will be taken care of at an animal shelter.

I am in agreement with you that the serval cat did not harm anyone.

People disregard laws all the time. They think wild animals are "cute" or that they give them status. It is not good for the animal or the community. I am glad it was recaptured.

It is a shame that some people violate laws since they disagree with them regarding owning animals.

A few people do not care about laws, and legality, and this episode just shows what can happen when a dangerous animal escapes, and the public is placed in danger, as a result of the thoughtlessness of the person concerned.

That is what the police in Ohio are concerned about that the serval cat would harm someone.
