Anovver Boat wot Sank

I wrote, a few weeks back, about a canal boat that sunk one evening. That boat has been repaired and earlier this week disappeared on its journey to Derby, I guess. On my canal walk, I found that another boat had decided to try being a submarine. This one is a little smaller than the first boat and it looks like it has been moored for some time, doubtless overwintering and waiting for summer and the cruising season. This is on a part of the canal I don’t often travel along, but I must make the walk soon and see how it is doing.

I think they moor them for the winter and then return for the summer cruising. No idea how long it has been under water, so it may not be salvageable

Hopefully it will be cleaned up and floating along soon with the weather getting nice and warm!

As long as they know it needs rescuing. Bit of a blow if they turn up for a sail and find it like that

@Ronrybs That is correct! It may be a big surprise to them when they see it.

I hope you realize that, sooner or later, someone will realize that you're sinking boats, right? I'd love to walk along the canals with you. It sound like good exercise and interesting views.

@Ronrybs Maybe you should think about putting a leash on the drill next time. Oh, I've seen that one but thank you.

Unfortunate, but I guess regular maintenance and regular visits would help to nip this kind of thing in the bud

Poor owners. Just what they didn't want, I'd say. I'd be going that way for a while till I found out what's happening with it.

Unfortunately I have injured my ankle and am hobbling everywhere. Getting better, but slowly. It is a legacy from a bike crash last year, which I aggravated a couple of weeks back by standing up!
