Look what I got at the auction. I paid 6 dollars for 28 duck eggs. 
. I have 4 of them put back. They don't look like they were washed so I am going to try hatching those. If they are fertile I will know in a few days. Then next month if the person brings more in I will get some more. Right now my incubator is on and I am making sure it stays steady.
I spent a total of 22.50. Besides the eggs I bought 3 large boxes of Swiss rolls, 3 boxes of zebra cakes and 12 bags of temptations cat treats. Fuzzy loves them already. Pretty said they are fairly good. 
The guy loved the wallet. So I am glad I took it with me.
I just looked out the window and seen flashing lights up the road. Looks like the guy that lost his horses was being visited by the sheriff again.

Duck eggs are good, and that was sure a lot of them! I hope the four hatch that you put in the incubator.
That's a lot of snacky cakes! I don't eat those, but I know some people love them. I am glad to hear the kitties are having a treat, too.

I hope they do too. Hoping the person has a male duck too
I love the Swiss rolls and hubby enjoys the Zebra cakes. So I sometimes get us some there.

I think that's a decent price for duck eggs. I know they're a little larger than chicken eggs. I wouldn't mind trying some in an omelet. 
I hope you enjoy them.
I've still got a Big pack of Swiss Rolls but am out of anything else. I'm all out of candy of any kind now, too.

They would make a great omelette.
I hadn't been buying any. But when I seen those I had to.

@wolfgirl569 Pretty said she hasn't bought any goodies because she wants us both to lose some weight... I'll have to go into the store with her next time we buy groceries if I want candy and goodies, I guess.

@wolfgirl569 Yes! So much going on here right now though. I am hoping that he will at least get the garden tilled up tomorrow. Then I need to beg for the greenhouse set up. LOL. I finally broke down and ordered one from Temu. So at least need to see if it works!

I have never eaten a duck egg. Good luck with the incubator, I hope the eggs are fertilized.

What a great haul from the auction. Good luck on the eggs being fertile. Cats have such arduous lives they do deserve their treats.

People there don't seem to want duck eggs. I could also figure it as I only paid 5 dollars as I have a peck sized box I will use later to sell something. They are over a dollar to buy

Most of the raisers don't have roosters so the eggs are duds. Also once you wash them they usually won't hatch. The egg has a protective coating that helps keep things out of the shell. That gets destroyed when you wash them

Wow, it sounds like you had quite an eventful day at the auction! Scoring 28 duck eggs for just $6 is an amazing deal. I'm really curious to see if the ones you set aside are fertile—hatching them would be such a rewarding experience.
It's great that you also picked up some treats for Fuzzy! I’m sure he’s loving those Temptations. Plus, the Swiss rolls and zebra cakes will be some nice snacks for you to enjoy.
I hope that the situation with the horses gets resolved soon. It’s tough to see someone going through that, especially when they have to deal with the sheriff. Overall, it sounds like a productive day, and I hope your incubation process goes smoothly!
