This Afternoon & Yardwork

So we decided to get some yardwork done this afternoon. I thought my hubby was going to till the garden up because he attached the tillers to the tractor this morning, but that didn't happen. Instead, he hopped on the mower (yes, you remember last week when he said that he wasn't mowing anymore??) and mowed the yard and the field.
I dug up about a dozen trees (mostly different kinds of oak trees, and a couple Elderberry trees) while he was doing that. And I picked up more limbs and started a slow burn on the burn pile.
I also changed water out in the chicken coop and threw some grass cuttings in the coop for them to snack on that was cut down.
I also unloaded my car this morning and got all of my event boxes out and put up in the house.
I have decided to not go to the event next Saturday since it is Easter weekend and spend with the family. I didn't realize that Easter was this coming weekend.
That's my day today--I got plenty of exercise, how did you spend yours?

I slept off and on today and took it easy... The air quality is still bad here and I didn't feel like being sick-ish for the next day or two.
Glad you got out and did some work.

Yes, it's looking better now. Still have a lot of limbs to burn and more to pick up. He mowed around those big ones that fell out of the trees. Hopefully, we can get back to clearing space to move travel trailer to and get garden tilled this week. Next week have lots of rain again. GRRR.

I spent today working on putting out the garbage cans onto the sidewalk where the city sanitation will pick up the trash tomorrow afternoon and working on completing surveys today.

I ate lunch, then came home and got a bag of aluminum cans that my neighbor saves for me to take to the no-kill animal shelter.
