I was going to do an errand or two

Just as I got off work, Bob called. I had told him last week that I did not need calls from him at work unless they were emergencies.
This one was a small emergency. He had tripped, fallen, scraped his elbow in a couple of places but the worst of it was his glasses had fallen from his face and he could not see to find them. He does not have a spare pair.
So I got bandages out for him and looked hard for the glasses, failing miserably. It took me three tries, plus more explicit directions from him before I found them, but I did.
In about ten days he will have new glasses to go along with his changed prescription since having his cataracts removed. It would have been a really long wait if I had not been able to find the ones he lost today.

One thing I’ve discovered as I’ve gotten older, there’s no such thing as too many pair of glasses. Thankfully, my prescription hasn’t changed in 4-5 years, so I keep the pair I’m wearing now when they give me a new pair (which will be next month).
I’m glad you found them and they weren’t damaged!

I'm sorry to hear of Bob's accident. It's a wonder how much glasses help us.

I'm sorry Bob fell but glad he wasn't hurt any worse than a scraped up elbow. I'm glad you found his glasses. Not being able to see is really annoying.
