You know that I love to travel and I'm probably one of the people you know that have been more places than most people you know. I've been very blessed. I researched some statistics about how Americans travel and learned the following:
11% of Americans have never traveled outside of the state they were born in, 54% of Americans have been to 10 or fewer states in the USA, and 13% of Americans have never flown.
As an American, I have visited all 50 states in the USA.
While 71% of Americans have traveled outside of the USA, the average they have been to is 2-3 countries. It breaks down like this:
19% of Americans have been to one country outside the USA
12% of Americans have been to two countries outside the USA
15% of Americans have been to 3-4 countries outside the USA
14% of Americans have been to 5-9 countries outside the USA
11% of Americans have been to 10 or more countries outside the USA
As an American, I have visited 96 countries outside the USA so far. I will hit the 100 mark in May of 2025.

I had no choice about Mexico, because I was seven when we went there. I’ve been to Canada three times (twice on the same trip), but at the borders (Windsor and Niagara Falls).
I have seven states (Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and Colorado) left to visit.
