Which is the front?

Maybe @JudyEv can help me here… At a country show recently we enjoyed seeing various animals, especially horses but also cattle, sheep and various smaller livestock as well. There was a class for guinea pigs, and there were quite a few of them there of different colours and types. This one was particularly puzzling as we couldn’t actually tell which end was the head! I guess we could have waited to see if it needed to turn around to nibble the food. Looking closely at the picture I think I might be able to see a foot, which would be a clue. Which end would you offer a carrot? All rights reserved. © Text and image copyright Fleur 2025.

What exactly is that supposed to be? Is it a rabbit or dog or something? It sure looks a mess. What are those flesh colored things?

It's a guinea pig - at least that's what the sign said!

I don't see a foot but is that a snout? If so, I'd say that was the front end. And that celery looks humongous.

@fleura I patted a dog on the head once that looked like that and its other end barked and confused me.

Scottish terriers look for all the world like a mop-head.

I'm battling to see a foot but maybe the celery is at the head end - unless he's just eaten of course. He needs a bit of a brush I think. These two have been groomed to within an inch of their lives! lol

@Fleura I wonder if, at home, they have to run around with (guinea) pig tails or rollers to keep their coats out of the dirt.
