Just when I had started liking dark chocolate I learn from a user here that there is a varying degree of lead and cadmium.in many of the well known brands of dark chocolates.
I did a search on the Net and it got confirmed that most of the dark chocolate brands in the market have metal in varying degrees.
Here is the link
The issue now is whether one should stop eating dark chocolate or just ignore these warnings and move on
What say?
If you have a sweet tooth, you may have read studies talking about the health benefits associated with eating moderate amounts of chocolate. But our research has found a potential health risk in popular chocolate products that’s been flying under the radar

In the case of dark chocolate they are added while in the case of fruits and vegetables they are there in the natural process. What the authorities say is that where there is excess one should avoid those brands.

A very good point Anna. Anything grown in any soil can theoretically get contaminated with heavy metals.

@allknowing Mast dark chocolate has the lowest level of heavy metals. But it is not available in my city. You can check. Also, EU has stricter regulations of heavy metals in dark chocolate. So buy European made dark chocolates. I am now eating Hachez dark chocolate from Germany.
