800 measles cases in the US already this year

That is more than all of last year. This is just in 4 months. This is due to Andrew Wakefield's fraudulent paper linking the MMR vaccine to autism. People freaked out and started to refuse vaccinating their children. Apparently they didn't get the memo that Wakefield's research was incorrect and that he eventually lost his medical license in Great Britain. Then you have the MAGA morons who refused to get the COVID "jab". Trump touted his "Operation Warp Speed" until the MAGAts didn't like it and then he stopped. These idiots think that vaccines will somehow change your DNA, magnetize you, put a tracker in you, etc. Vaccines are dangerous in the minds of the uneducated. So now we have a huge measles outbreak in the south. 800 cases so far and at least 2 children are dead. Those numbers are probably lower than reality. We likely will never know due to patients being afraid to go to the hospital thanks to Trump's efforts to deport every brown person. At this point I'm just like GO FOR IT. Don't get vaccinated. Easy way to thin the herd of idiots.

Our nation has had 227 reported cases. It is like our society has stepped back in time trying to go without vaccines which have been proven to be effective.

@NJChicaa That is pretty close to perfect. I remember having the measles as a child and I was really ill with them.

Same here in the UK. Many new parents are ignoring medical advice now and believing those on social media who have no qualifications but have many followers and are anti-vaxers. You can’t fix stupid!

We've seen more cases than usual here too. They're trying to track down the source but I can't see what good that will do.

I am so pro-vax that I ask my doctor what she can give me every time I have an appointment. I still want to get an RSV shot.

When i was young they still did not have vaccines for measles. I can say honestly that I have had every type of measles. I had a lot of blood work done before I had my oldest daughter, and I was told I would never get the measles again. One round of measles put me in the hospital as a kid and I was so sick. I would have gladly gotten the vaccine if it would have been available to me .

In my country it is a must to have measles vaccines for children. And I had covid after I had 5 vaccines. I still had covid but spent it alone at home. It was nothing like the terible pandemia before that vaccines started.
