Outside Most Of The Day

It was wonderful. We did get to 80 F. Had a steady warm breeze with some gusts. But they didn't feel bad in this weather.
I got my new trough filled up and added more to one of the others. I will add more to them tomorrow unless it rains. I got my fence panel cut down to size that I will grow vining plants against. I also got the 2 pieces of that old fence moved out of the way. I hung my 2 garden flags and weeded one pond planter.
The pond is starting to turn green so I wrapped the pump with quilt batting to start cleaning it. I cleaned that 3 times today. But the water is already clearer. I took it off for the night as when the batting gets dirty it slows the flow of water down.
I did plant some amaranth seeds. That's the only thing I did in the back room. I did move 2 more plants outside too.
I checked the duck eggs and threw them out. The person must have only girls. But we are taking hubbies daughter out for lunch tomorrow for her birthday. After that we will go to Rural King. I need bedding for the chickens and will check if they have any cute ducklings. Wish me luck.

I cringe a little when I see you write "throwing the eggs out." lol. I know they're duck eggs, but with the price of eggs so high now, it's almost sacrilege to waste any eggs! LOL
I saw a funny meme on FB the other day. It said, "Eggs used to be so cheap that we would throw them at houses. Now, we can't afford eggs or houses!"

They were bad after putting them in the incubator hoping they were fertile. We have ate the other 24 duck eggs I got.
That meme would be very funny if it wasn't so true.

@moffittjc Glad I can have the critters. It doesn't save a bunch when you look at the feed bill. Until you factor in having the older ones butchered which saves a lot on meat

@wolfgirl569 It's sad that memes like that are true. You are lucky in the you can somewhat avoid the high cost of eggs by collecting your own without having to buy them at the grocery store.
Although I buy my eggs at the store, we have people at work who have chickens, and they are generously bringing eggs into work all the time to give out to people who might otherwise not be able to afford to buy eggs.
