A Text From My Oldest Grandson

Friday night I got a text from my oldest grandson. We were going to their house Saturday for a crawfish boil and spend the day. He wanted to know what time I was getting there. I texted back and said "when I get there." Then a few minutes later told him we were going to try very hard to leave early. I bribed your grandfather into a trip to the bakery on the way out of town, so we should be there around noon if not before. Then I asked him what he had planned. He said he was planning on getting me to go to an antique store with him to look around. I said fine! My grandson has learned how to scout thrift stores and the like for video games. Sometimes he finds one or two he wants to try, and sometimes he finds good deals on very popular games and will buy them. He then takes those to Game Stop and sells them to them or trades them in for a game he wants. He has learned to really save money on his games. He was ready to go when we got there and after we talked for a little bit, we decided to go on and get that out of the way. My daughter was on board with going also. My granddaughter wanted to stay home and play. She was all decked out in a Halloween fairy costume. This is a fairly new store that my daughter discovered and she loves it. She goes by there every week or every two weeks. It is actually a vendor mall that has everything antiques, new things, toys, books, video games, you name it!! The name of it is Trinkets.
