After several days of having a short break, I need to return to work today. I attended second quarter meeting wherein we talk about the plans for coming days and other important work related matters. Since I attended the meeting at the provincial office, I don't need to travel because the office is located near my place.
But tomorrow, I need to take a long drive to work again.
How's your day my friends?

It was a good day. The weather was sunny, and my husband and I were able to walk in a nearby forest.

That's good to know my friend. We are also in the middle of summer here in our country.

@Iam_jauntyjen Yes, there are places which are at dangerous heat level. These places has a heat index between 42 and 51°C. In our place, we still have rain from time to time especially at night, but it is humid.

@ARIES1973 I heard it's hotter than hell in the Philippines these days. So it's somewhat good to be at work because you get free AC haha

Sounds like a smooth transition back into the rhythm of things after your break! It’s great that the meeting was held nearby—no need for the usual travel hustle. It's always a bonus when work finds its way closer to home. Though I can imagine that long drive tomorrow might feel a bit less appealing—hoping the road treats you kindly and the views make it worthwhile!
As for me, being retired has given me a slower, more peaceful pace lately. I still find myself keeping busy here and there, but now it’s on my own time.

@ARIES1973 Thanks for sharing! I can relate to the idea of early retirement. I’m 53 and also decided to avail of early retirement. After more than 20 years in service, I felt it was the right time—I wanted to do the things I’ve always wanted to pursue while I still have the strength, energy, and clarity of mind. Personally, I believe it’s better to start this new chapter while I’m still capable, rather than waiting until 60 when I might be weaker physically and mentally.
That said, your situation is different—you’re still in the earning stage, and that’s a great place to be. Take this opportunity to save as much as you can so that when your time for retirement comes, it will be easier and more financially stable. Planning early really makes a big difference. Whatever path we each take, I hope it leads us all to a fulfilling and meaningful next phase in life.

During our meeting, some colleagues are also thinking of retiring a few more years from now. One of them even said that she is planning to retire even if she is only 57. She said that she will avail of the early retirement. Personally, I will have to wait for 8 years or more. I am only 15 years in service and i still have loans to pay.

Our Ward representative was over for a chat. I told her it is time she told the parish priest to hold to his nasty comments he makes on parishioners and be a bit more humble Sad that he did not learn it from our Late Pope Francis.

Just learned about the passing of the blessed Pope this afternoon. Maybe we should also pray for our Priests.

That's true. But I've got used to it already since I am doing it for a little over a year.

I agree. Yesterday was Sunday and I had a break from my business. Today I'm at my shop and feeling refreshed Working without a break becomes monotony and boring.

I seldom go on a week break because of the nature of my work wherein I need to monitor the village officials. Though we have two days break in a week but we still need to actively check their activities.

Yes, evening is the best time to check on our myLot activities. I would also see to it to check every now and then especially if I have some free time and when there is no client.
