Hey Amazon...what's up with fluctuating prices??

Happy Tuesday Everyone! a beautiful sunny day here today My morning is off to a slow start. I'm sitting here enjoying my coffee and watching the birds as they perch on the deck railing. Most of them are robins but occasionally gray birds show up and I think they might be morning doves. You probably wouldn't believe it if I said both my daughter and I love coffee She saw a Ninja K cup coffee maker on Amazon a few weeks ago and it was $89. She kept talking about how she wants to make a small coffee station in her office so she doesn't have to keep coming downstairs if she's in the mood for a cup. Since her birthday is next month I figured it would be a good surprise if I got it for her. It's been sitting in my cart for about two weeks and the price jumped up to $109! Every day I check and the price hasn't decreased. I know that's only a $20 difference and I'll probably still get it for her but I'm holding off hoping it goes down in price. I'm finding out that Amazon has roller coaster prices and something could be a good price now but a few hours from now the price could increase. Are you an Amazon shopper and do you find the same thing with prices?

I haven't bought anything from Amazon in several years but, even back then, their prices could fluctuate every day. You should have bought the coffee maker when you put it in your cart. I seriously doubt it will decrease in price now that you're holding onto it like that.

@Marilynda1225 I think I would experiment with it. Take it out of your cart and put another coffee maker you don't want in the cart and then ask a friend to look up the coffee maker you do want and check the price. (Don't let your daughter do that from your house or from a number associated with you/your home.) It might be interesting to see if the coffee maker price goes down once it isn't in your cart.

Yup I should have bought it right away but wasn't sure how serious my daughter was about wanting it. Now that she made up her mind the price hasn't budged. And with Mothers Day coming its a given it won't decrease. Guess I should grab it before it goes up again

I just buy from Amazon occasionally. Here, the price of groceries also increases.

I think none of us are escaping the constant rise in the price of groceries. Every week I pay more for basically the same things

I imagine that the prices are based on whatever the post office is charging today, and whether or not the tariffs are in effect today.

Prices keep going up and I doubt it will be anytime soon before they go down (if ever). My biggest complaint is the price of groceries.

It probably went up because they know you want it.. That's disgusting.

I don't use Amazon at all. I don't for several reasons. But, I have found this price-changing thing in other areas. It's some sort of business tactic I guess.

I do order from amazon returally. And I do see prices change. And, that's because they work with brands and third-party seelers. It's normal.

What a shame. I hope the price goes down again but I wouldn't bet on it.

Maybe you could check other stores to see if there’s a better deal.
