I Keep Checking to Make Sure Hubby is Alive

Is that weird? Yes of course it is. But I'll bet some of you have done it too. Hubby hasn't been feeling well. Nothing serious that we know of but it just keeps lingering. He's a pretty routine-oriented guy, up at the same time every morning, everything always in its place. So on morning like today when he's not up 90 minutes past his normal time, I start to worry. In a minute I'll go in and look at him to make sure he's still breathing. I don't know why I have these fears, but I do when it's something out of the ordinary like him sleeping later than usual.

that is normal. We often notice those changes that the other are used to doing especially those who really like routines

Now you sound like me when I had my husband and that last sickness took a lot out of me, I will put in a prayer for him and I hope he will feel much better soon.

It's normal to worry about our loved ones, especially when something other than their regular routine happens. These days I'm being reminded of taking my bp medicine every day twice.

He was sick when you were on that trip. He was sick recently when you were sick, and he is still sick. That's a whole lot of sick going on...is he anti-doctor?? He needs to go to one. If he is that ill, no way can you leave him for a trip now, you would worry the entire time.

I did that with my mom when I was taking care of her. My mom told me years ago she’d do that with my sister and me when we were sick too.

I think it's normal to be concerned when a loved one is ill, and not acting like themselves.

I think your feelings are normal considering he's out of his routine.

I suppose it's normal, especially as we all get older and more things can go wrong. I don't think your fears are unjustified. You just love him and want to make sure he's okay.
